Are you a valuesâled leader who wants to shape the future of youth wellbeing services across the region? We’re seeking a Director, Youth & Young Adult Wellbeing to lead a diverse portfolio that includes youth mental health, alcohol and other drug programs, homelessness services, and community programs.
This is a strategic, peopleâcentric leadership role for someone who thrives on partnership building, system thinking, and genuine community impact.
Reporting to the Executive Director and leading three Community Services Managers, you’ll guide service excellence, champion compliance and safeguarding, and nurture a culture where staff feel valued and connected to the mission. With new contracts and organisational change underway, this role calls for adaptability, creativity, and a steady hand.

What You’ll Bring
- Senior leadership experience in youth wellbeing, community services, or a related social impact field
- Demonstrated capability in change management, adaptability, and strategic thinking
- A humble, missionâdriven leadership styleâno ego, just purpose
- Strength in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and community-facing work
- Experience managing compliance, safeguarding, and reporting obligations
- Ability to lead with compassion while driving accountability and performance
- Strong communication, influence, and advocacy skills
About you?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, at a Bachelor level or equivalent
- Leadership skills in strategy, relationship development, communication, finance, human resource development and customer service
- Significant operational leadership experience in a similar role within a relevant Community Services Sector (10+ years)
- Postgraduate qualifications in Health or Business Administration, Public Policy or other relevant area is highly regarded
Candidates must have current NSW Working with Children Check, willingness to complete Criminal History Check and other required probity checks.
